The Generation Essentials Group has completed construction of the second L'OFFICIEL COFFEE and L'OFFICIEL BAR location, positioned within City of Dreams in Macau. The property sits adjacent to House of Dancing Water, the theatre venue that has operated since 2010 and hosts what the company describes as immersive aquatic performances with 270-degree seating. An official opening date will be announced through TGE's social media channels.
The project represents a strategic move into hospitality for The Generation Essentials Group, a portfolio company established jointly by AMTD Group, AMTD IDEA Group, and AMTD Digital Inc. TGE is headquartered in France and operates media properties including L'Officiel and The Art Newspaper alongside entertainment ventures and hospitality assets. The company is also a special purpose acquisition company sponsor manager, having raised its first SPAC on December 18, 2025.
The Macau location offers TGE proximity to City of Dreams' visitor traffic. House of Dancing Water draws millions of annual visitors to its cutting-edge stage technology and aquatic programming. By locating the cafe and bar adjacent to the theatre, TGE positions the concept to capture traffic from the existing attraction while establishing a separate branded hospitality offering.
L'Officiel, the French fashion and culture publication at the core of TGE's portfolio, has expanded into various business lines in recent years.
