Oprah Winfrey to Headline Immersive Live Experience at Sphere in April 2027
The weekend-long event, featuring performances from Jacob Collier and Ocean Vuong, marks the first collaboration between Winfrey and the Las Vegas venue.
Oprah Winfrey will headline a live immersive experience at Sphere in Las Vegas over the weekend of April 2–4, 2027, the venue and production team announced. Titled Oprah Winfreys AHA, the two-hour show will feature Winfrey on stage alongside an ensemble of musicians, poets, and performers curated for a single weekend engagement.
The production brings together a roster of established artists across multiple disciplines. Seven-time Grammy Award-winner Jacob Collier will perform alongside poet and author Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps. The musical direction comes from Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter, with Grammy Award-winning musician Jason White and Grammy-nominated composer Jon Hopkins contributing original work. Screenwriter Tarell Alvin McCraney, who won an Oscar for Moonlight, has written material for the show, while artist Es Devlin contributes original works and the Plum Village Monks participate in the production.
The event is directed by Ethan Tobman and produced by Baz Halpin, founder and CEO of Silent House Group. Presented by Live Nation, it counts among its executive producers Winfrey herself, Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, Tara McNally Montgomery, Ben Winston, Andrew Maxwell Mangino, and Evan Sharp. Winfrey said the concept emerged from attending the opening night of U2 at Sphere. "AHA is a dream that came to me as I sat in awe at the opening night of U2 at the Sphere, mesmerized by the possibilities of how the space could be used as a tool for creating greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our connection to each other," she said in a statement. "Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I've spoken about and worked towards my entire life."
The Sphere's immersive capabilities—including its highest-resolution LED display wrapping the venue and its Sphere Immersive Sound concert-grade audio system—will anchor the production design. Vibee, a music-led destination experience company, is the official hotel experience partner, offering ticket bundles that include two-night stays at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, access to Sphere seating, and entry to an AHA Experience fan pop-up. Tickets begin at $145, with general on-sale opening September 25 at 10 AM PT. Presale packages through Vibee became available September 15.
The engagement represents a convergence between Winfrey's media infrastructure and the Sphere's technological platform, testing whether the venue can sustain cultural events beyond its existing roster of music residencies and branded presentations.
