Sandals and Beaches Resorts has launched Island Insiders Club, a rebranded loyalty program replacing the Sandals Select Rewards program that operated since 2008. The transition takes effect July 1, 2026, preserving the status and existing benefits for current members while introducing a restructured tier system and expanded rewards.
The new program comprises seven membership levels: Ambassador, Pearl, Diamond, Emerald, Sapphire, Coral, and Shell. Members can enroll before their first visit and begin accruing status after their initial stay. Existing Sandals Select Rewards members will automatically transition to Island Insiders Club without a reset of their accumulated benefits.
Key program enhancements include a flexible Insider Reward credit allowing members to select experiences ranging from Red Lane Spa services to Island Routes excursions; an exclusive online merchandise store featuring limited-edition and artisanal items; and a Room Upgrade Hotline offering up to 50% discounts on upgrades booked 30 days in advance. Diamond, Pearl, and Ambassador members receive access to a dedicated VIP concierge line supporting flight bookings, tour arrangements, and special requests throughout their stay.
Additional benefits include a 20% discount on the Manager's Wine List, a $200 laundry service credit for Ambassador members, and a complimentary seven-night stay at any resort after every 70 paid nights. New members receive 5,000 bonus points following their first stay. The program also features specialty weeks for diving, autism inclusion, and culinary experiences, alongside global experiential events.
The rebrand centers on a simplified sandals icon as its signature symbol, referencing a decades-long member tradition of wearing sandal-themed pendants and necklaces at brand events. Peter Menges, Senior Vice President of Loyalty at Unique Vacations, Inc., stated the program was developed through focus groups, surveys, and direct member feedback. "The result is a loyalty experience that goes far beyond points, and is felt in every welcome home," Menges said.
Sandals operates 17 beachfront all-inclusive resorts across Jamaica, The Bahamas, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, Curaçao, Grenada, and Saint Vincent and The Grenadines. Beaches Resorts, its family-focused subsidiary, currently operates properties in Turks & Caicos and Jamaica, with announced expansion to Barbados, The Bahamas, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The loyalty restructuring signals Sandals' effort to deepen engagement with its core demographic as competition intensifies in the all-inclusive Caribbean segment.
