Sofitel and Nespresso are launching a limited-edition in-room dining experience that pairs custom croissant creations with tailored coffee recipes across 20 hotels globally, beginning Sept. 1.

The collaboration, available through Sofitel's Please Disturb in-room dining program, moves beyond conventional pastry service by applying structured flavor architecture to the French café-croissant ritual. Each of the three pairings was developed by Sofitel's pastry chefs and Nespresso's coffee specialists around complementary flavor profiles, textures, temperatures and aromas. The menu includes Le Brûlé, a decaffeinated cappuccino mousse paired with a crispy honey cream croissant; L'Épicé, featuring a spicy chocolate coffee matched with a coffee-chocolate exotic croissant; and Le Tonique, an iced orange espresso tonic served with a Paris Brest croissant.

Each pairing concludes with a tableside finishing gesture performed in the guest room—whether brûléed sugar, an aromatic citrus mist, or freshly grated dark chocolate and Sichuan pepper. According to Anne-Cécile Degenne, Corporate Executive Chef at Sofitel Hotels & Resorts, the collaboration represents an attempt to introduce guests to "new dimensions of taste" through precision rather than novelty. Sacha Wittorski, Coffee Expertise & Mixology Specialist at Nespresso, noted that the partnership allowed the team to "explore connections" between pastry and coffee in ways that felt "sophisticated, playful and made for discovery."

The initiative expands La Haute Croissanterie, Sofitel's croissant-focused culinary program launched in January 2024. In the United States, the experience will be available at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square. International participating properties include locations in London, Luxembourg, Seoul, Mexico City, Riyadh, Rabat, Marrakech, Dubai, Singapore, Montreal, Paris, Barcelona, Cartagena, Sydney and Brisbane.

The menu will remain available through Nov. 26, 2026. The partnership reflects a shift among luxury hotels toward programmatic in-room experiences that emphasize craft and service theater over transactional convenience, positioning the guest room as a curated gastronomic destination rather than a functional space.
