Viceroy Hotels Enters New York With Park Avenue Flagship Opening December 2026

Viceroy Hotels & Residences will open Viceroy Park Avenue in December 2026 at the corner of Park Avenue South and 29th Street in Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood, establishing its first hotel in New York City and signaling an expansion into one of the world's most competitive luxury hospitality markets.

The 252-room property, designed by Meyer Davis Studio and managed by Highgate, represents a joint venture between Viceroy's parent company Highgate, Tao Group Hospitality, and BGO. The hotel will feature guestrooms and suites including four presidential suites, with rooms ranging up to 2,100 square feet—among Manhattan's more spacious luxury offerings. The property will include a rooftop pool and lounge, spa and wellness spaces, and approximately 4,500 square feet of meeting and event space. Three dedicated event spaces can be used individually or combined for larger occasions.

Food and beverage programming will be developed in partnership with Tao Group Hospitality and will include a ground-floor restaurant and café alongside a penthouse-level rooftop dining venue. Over 15,000 square feet of dynamic spaces will be available for private events, weddings, and corporate gatherings. The hotel design emphasizes larger room sizes, integrated wellness offerings, and cultural programming aimed at both international travelers and local guests seeking neighborhood-connected experiences.

The opening reflects Viceroy's strategy to expand across established and emerging luxury markets. The brand's portfolio includes The Observatory Sun Valley, A Viceroy Resort, scheduled to open in Fall 2026 in Sun Valley, Idaho. Additional projects are planned for Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta, Nashville, Austin, Fort Lauderdale, Clearwater Beach, Puerto Rico, and the Hudson Valley. Recent developments include the opening of Viceroy at Ombria Algarve in Portugal, Viceroy Residences Brickell, and partnerships with African Bush Camps on three safari lodges in Botswana and Zambia.
